For those that don?t know, Hospital records produced the likes of High Contrast, Danny Byrd and even the labels founder Tony Colman has been dishing out tracks under the name London Elecktricity.
The Album ?15 years of Hospital Records? features the cream of the crop, with some amazing VIP remixes. Especially High Contrast?s ?If we ever? being self-remixed into pure ear candy. Delivering his usual Liquid Funk style and featuring some powerful vocal samples.
One of the labels veterans- Danny Byrd?s quick paced, heavy rhythms never fail to disappoint. With his song ?B.R.I.S.T.O.L? which features a very Hyper MC Risky spitting lyrics. To find out what ?B.R.I.S.T.O.L? stands for you?ll just have to buy the album!
Newbies at the label - Netsky, Fred V and Grafix, and Camo and Crooked- contribute songs that are just as captivating as those by the labels veterans. With Netsky?s remix of Rusko?s ?Everyday? delivering some truly epic trance style beats.
And of course there?s the Boss Man ? London Elecktricity. With a superb remix of one of his earliest tracks ?Songs in the Key of Knife?. Through this song you can see where all the other artists have learned there techniques from.
This album certainly does show Hospital Records to be some kind of big, happy Drum & Bass family. And the families fifteen years of hard work have been brought together into an hour long mix by Cyantific. This smoothly goes through a decade of amazing music by all of the labels artists.
If Drum & Bass was a country, Hospital records would definitely be responsible for a national anthem!
