The first season of HBO's epic prohibition drama is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on January 9th, and we have three DVD boxsets to give away.
Executively produced by Oscar®-winning director Martin Scorsese and from the pen of The Sopranos scribe Terence Winter, BOARDWALK EMPIRE: The Complete First Season received 18 Emmy® Award nominations, winning eight including 'Outstanding Drama Series', 'Outstanding Casting For A Drama Series' and 'Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama'. This visually stunning gangster epic set in the 1920's features some of the most awe-inspiring production design ever seen on screen along with an authentic soundtrack that will immerse viewers in the period.
Both DVD and Blu-ray are packed with hours of behind-the-scenes special features including a look into the Making of Boardwalk Empire, Creating the Boardwalk, The Speakeasy Tour, Atlantic City: The Original Sin City featurettes and a Character Dossier as well as Audio Commentaries.
Steve Buscemi (Armageddon, The Big Lebowski) stars in this explosive HBO drama series set at the dawn of the Prohibition era, when the sale of alcohol became illegal throughout the United States. Charting the birth of organised crime, the series chronicles the life and times of Enoch 'Nucky' Thompson (Buscemi), the Atlantic City treasurer whose double role as politician and bootlegger makes him the most powerful man on the Boardwalk.
